Vacation in Nature!

Planning a Staycation this year? Then be sure to put Nature on the agenda. A new web site called www.naturerocks.org is making it easy for families to find places to get outdoors with ideas and activities for some natural family fun. Of course, River Legacy Parks provides ample opportunities for families to connect with nature through its 1,300 acres, miles of paved hike and bike trails, off-road mountain bike trail, picnic areas, playground, pavilions and more.

Check us out and enjoy a Nature-Staycation!

Sneak-a-Peek at Nature School

Prospective parents and their children can experience Nature School and learn why it is the natural choice for their preschooler during the free Sneak-a-Peek from 10 am to noon, Monday, May 11, at River Legacy Living Science Center. During the event, parents and children can participate in a "mini" Nature School class, meet the teachers, and hear from current and past Nature School parents about their children's experiences.

Come experience for yourself how much fun learning can be at Nature School, an accredited program by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. To learn more about the program visit our Nature School page or call Susie Barcus, Early Childhood Education Director, at 817.860.2073, or e-mail her at susie@riverlegacy.org.
