A new afternoon class is being offered for Home School students and Home School Groups once a month on Thursdays. The classes offer an interactive science experience using the resources of the Science Center and the adjacent River Legacy Parks. Classes start on January 28 and cost $15 per student/per class. Turtle Tank Celebration
The Snapping Turtle is enjoying his new aquarium and is definitely getting more of a workout as he chases his goldfish lunch! Please help us celebrate his new home at
2 pm this Saturday, January 9 at River Legacy Living Science Center. Light refreshments will be served, and children can participate in a turtle craft activity. The event is free, but reservations are required. Please call 817.860.6752 to RSVP!

Winter at the Science Center!
Winter has arrived at the Living Science Center! Come check out the self-exploration stations in our multipurpose room to explore how snowflakes are made (and make some of your own), discover how animals stay warm during winter months, and take a winter scavenger hunt along our nature trails to find signs of the season.
Admission to the Living Science Center is free, but donations are accepted to help us continue to provide public programs and events. Hours are 9 am to 5 pm Tuesday through Saturday. The Center will be closed on New Year's Day. Find us at 703 NW Green Oaks Boulevard, Arlington, Texas 76006.
Snapping Turtle Moves into New Aquarium!
Stop by the Living Science Center and check out our Snapping Turtle in his new, roomier aquarium! Thanks to all who donated to help provide a better environment for the turtle! A special thank you to board member O.K. Carter, Blake Whitley with 4Front Engineered Solutions and our Parks and Recreation Maintenance Crew! A special reception in honor of our turtle's new digs is being planned, so stay tuned for details.
Stress-free Shopping at Acorns!
Avoid the Black Friday shopping crowds and take advantage of Acorns Gift Shop inside River Legacy Living Science Center. Acorns includes a large selection of nature-oriented books, puzzles, puppets, games, home decor, jewelry and more, guaranteed to delight nature-lovers of all ages! The gift store is managed and operated by volunteers with all proceeds used to support the programs of the Living Science Center.
While shopping you can also peruse the Arlington Archosaur Exhibit in the Center's Exhibit Hall through December 19; check out the exploration stations in the multipurpose room; or go on a hike along the Center's nature trails and paths. All are free, but donations are accepted.
The Living Science Center at 703 NW Green Oaks Boulevard is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 9 am to 5 pm. The Center will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. Acorns Gift Shop is extending its hours after Thanksgiving to include Mondays from 9 am to 5 pm.
